things and stuff

A few things that have been going on around here lately:

-We moved!

We're staying in this cute yellow house on top of a mountain for a month. After that, we move into a condo in town. But for now, this is home

-We went to the mall!

Exciting, I know! But I did not expect to find a mall like this on the island. The mall is called Aeonmall Rycom and it's HUGE.  There are over 200 stores on five levels. Plus there's a movie theater, an arcade, and a grocery store. Some of the stores include ToysRus, Gap, Oakley, American Eagle, Forever 21, Billabong, The Body Shop, Crocs, and the newly opened H&M. On the weekends there are so many different events and promotions going on. We went yesterday to get something to eat (at one of the 60+ restaurants) and saw some sort of running contest going on by the food court. Oh and there were kids playing with lifesize robots outside of the Gap. It looked like they were even giving away a big Samsung flatscreen TV down in the middle by the aquarium (yes there's an aquarium with fish and rays and even a shark!)

 And let's not forget about this gem. You thought it was closed and gone forever! It's open in Okinawa!

-We went to a Switchfoot concert!

There are always festivals and events going on at the various military bases. This past weekend was Foster Fest and the musical guest was none other than Switchfoot! It was so fun!

-We've explored new parts of the island

Not sure who this guy is but he has a good view

We are loving it here.
